To lead collaborative, proactive community efforts to prevent underage substance use and to foster the development of healthy and resilient children and youth.
We envision a community that supports the development of thriving, resilient children and youth who are empowered to make healthy choices around wellness and substance use.
The Missoula Forum for Children & Youth began in 1996 as the Missoula Prevention Coalition.
A group of community leaders convened in an effort to find solutions regarding the alcohol and drug problems our youth face. The Missoula Prevention Coalition’s mission was to create an environment that allowed key community leaders, parents, young people and providers of services the ability to come together in a collaborative, pro-active effort that focuses on youth prevention strategies.
