Student Dropout Prevention Task Force

Tuesday, April 22 at 4:15 PM

The Student Dropout task force will form three workgroups and begin work (in work groups) identifying the next steps in our community action plan to reduce high school dropout rates in Missoula. 
 

*Anyone from the community interested in this issue is invited to join this task force meeting. If you were not able to attend the Student Dropout Summit on Feb 12 2008,  please check out the summary of the summit. Call Ellie Greenwood at 258-4965 for more information about Dropout prevention work.

Missoula Adolescent Pregnancy, Parenting, and Prevention Services (MAPPPS) 

    Monthly meeting:  Second Tuesday of each month, 10am-11am:  Location changes.  Email mappps@wordinc.org.

 

Missoula Underage Substance Abuse Prevention Team  (MUSAP)

    Monthly meeting:  First Wednesday of each month, 10-11:30am

Youth Development Network (YDN)

 

Media Literacy Community Action Team

The Media Literacy Community Action Team meets the second Tuesday of the month at the Missoula Public Library at 1:30 PM until 3 PM.  Contact Ellie @ egreenwood@co.missoula.mt.us.

 

Oversight Committee

1:30-3:30pm   Second Monday of each month:  While Oversight Committee meetings are open to the public, the membership of this committee is limited to appointed and elected representatives whose terms begin in November of each year.  In Rm. 14 or 24, Missoula County Public School Administration Building, 215 S. 6th W.

9am - 11am   Thursday, May 22nd, 2008:  General Forum Meeting.  At May's General Forum meeting, we will have a "Conference Report-Out".  Lindsey Doe will present new information from the Adolescent Sexual Health Conference and Jori Frakie will present information on the Every Child Matters campaign. 

June 4, 2008:  The Healthy Start Council and Forum will feature presentations on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.  Times and locations TBA.
