●Talking with Kids about Tough Issues

A national initiative of Children Now and the Kaiser Family Foundation to encourage parents to talk to their children earlier and more often about tough issues like sex, HIV/AIDS, violence, alcohol, and drug abuse.


●Resource Center for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention

Practical tools and information to effectively reduce sexual risk-taking behaviors from ReCAPP.  Includes programming materials for educators.

 

●Advocates for Youth

Policy information, fact sheets, and articles about various topics related to sexual and reproductive health.  Sections for parents, professionals, and youth.   

 

●National Women’s Health Resource Center

Newsletters, news stories, A-Z Health Topics, and other resources concerning women's health.

 

●The National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy

Research, resource, and statistics about teen sexual activity and teen pregnancy.  This link will take you to the page of the website "Tips for Parents to Help Their Children Avoid Teen Pregnancy."

 

●Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS)

Information on public policy, sexuality education, human sexuality, and other topics from organization committed to "sexuality education, sexual health, and sexual rights."  Many publications, including several specifically for parents at SIECUS' Families Are Talking site.

●Better Beginnings Coalition

Website of a teen pregnancy prevention coalition in Portsmouth, VA.  Includes tips for talking to children and teens about sex and sexuality.
