Families First Children’s Museum — Traveling Exhibit (April 5 – June 30)

Concave & Convex Mirrors, Catenary Arch Blocks and Magna-Tiles

WHEN AND WHERE:  The exhibit runs from Friday, April 5 through Sunday, June 30 at the Families First Children’s Museum (225 W. Front (downtown Missoula).    The GRAND OPENING AND FREE ADMISSION DAY is set for Friday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.  WHAT:  This exciting and interactive exhibition features fun-house mirrors that can be a jump-off point for discussions of lens design as well as reflected light and how shapes are impacted by the reflecting surface. The Catenary Arch Blocks encourage visitors to build an arch from the padded and upholstered blocks. Magna-Tiles use a variety of geometric shapes with magnetic edges to encourage creative construction and help foster interest in STEM areas during school and life.   These exhibits will captivate all ages, and are a wonderful opportunity for school field trips or just a special visit to the Children’s Museum.
