A proactive, caring community helps prevent risk behaviors and grow healthy and resilient children and youth

Forum and Forum coalition meetings are open to the general public and volunteers are always appreciated.

To get involved in the Forum, contact us, or check out our calendar to see if any upcoming meetings are of interest to you.

To find nonprofit organizations where you can volunteer your time, enthusiasm, and expertise, visit these two sites:

UM Office of Civic Engagement / Career Services Site: Searchable database of volunteer opportunities in Missoula.  This site is designed for UM students to search for everything from jobs to internships, but it's available to everyone-- just make sure you select "volunteer positions" for your search.

Western Montana Volunteer Center:  New online database of volunteer opportunities in Missoula County.  To find local opportunities, enter a Missoula zip code, select a comfortable radius, and click search!

If you want to volunteer but don't know what you're looking for... see the Missoulian's Uncover Missoula guide to find out more about local nonprofits.  If you know of a few organizations where you might like to volunteer, call them directly and ask what kind of opportunities are available to you!

The Forum's task force, Volunteers for Today and Tomorrow, has tips for getting started volunteering and project ideas for creative volunteers:  Volunteer Tips and Project Ideas (.pdf).
