Public Workshops – Park Facility Renovation, Replacement and Improvement Plan
WHEN AND WHERE: Tuesday, February 26 from 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. in the Missoula Public Library, Large Meeting Room (301 E. Main) or Wednesday, February 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Meadow Hills School-Multi Purpose Room (4210 Reserve Street). WHAT: Help Improve Your Park System – Identify priorities for renovation or replacement. Tell us about the park improvements you’d like to see. Share your feedback about parks, trails, playgrounds, sports facilities, aquatics facilities and more. Help create a long-range plan for maintaining Missoula’s park system.
Community members attending either workshop may review data about the park system; ask questions of City parks staff; identify parks, trails and facility conditions and issues that concern them or their neighborhood; identify high priority needs; and complete a questionnaire on what the City-wide priorities should be regards development of a plan for the park system’s renovation, replacement and improvement needs.
Parks and Recreation staff will provide maps, conditions information and other data regarding the age, condition, maintenance needs, and options for renovating, replacing and improving the infrastructure within the City’s parks, open spaces, trails and public landscapes.
