Local Geology with Bruce Baty

WHAT:  Registration is now open for the Montana Natural History Center’s ‘Local Geology’ Naturalist Field Day. Join accomplished instructor Bruce Baty for a field class in local geology. Visit up to eight locations featuring  fault zones, alluvial fans,basalt lava flows, granitic intrusion,fossils, and more.This introductory class will establish a strong understanding of Western Montana’s dynamic geologic forces.  WHEN:  9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 28th.  WHERE:  The Montana Natural History Center – 120 Hickory Street (Missoula).  COST:   $80/$70 MNHC members.
