Rocky Mountain Hospice – Volunteer Training

Two Training Opportunities

WHAT:  Hospice care is about living fully until the end of life.  Are you interested in listening to people’s life stories or providing companionship for individuals nearing their end of life? Are you a veteran who is interested in helping other veterans with their end-of-life care?  Come join us for a two-part training session and find out how your specific gifts, talents, and heart might grow our team of Rocky Mountain Hospice volunteers.  Trainings include:  History & philosophy of hospice & palliative care, HIPAA regulations, death, dying, & bereavement, communications techniques, the role of the volunteer, special needs of Alzheimer’s & dementia patients, and an intro. to  the ‘We Honor Veterans” program. 

WHEN AND WHERE:   Mon. 9/30 and Tues. 10/1 OR Tues.11/12 and Thurs. 11/14.  Each session takes place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Rocky Mountain Hospice  office, 2409 Dearborn St., Missoula (off Reserve, across from Shopko).
